Fathers and Sons

Steen went on his first father sons campout this weekend. It rained and the wind blew all night...but Steen slept through it. He had fun sharing a tent with his buddy Luke and looks forward to camping again. Daddy just hopes it's a little quieter next time (tent was flapping in the wind all night) so that daddy can get some sleep. I don't feel too sorry for him since I don't ever get sleep anymore with a new baby! ;-)

Dance Recital

The girls both did awesome in their dance recitals. It was fun to watch! Here are their end of the year dance pictures.

Andrea is 2nd from left....
Michaela is front and center and probably a head taller than most of the girls.

Kindy500

Andrea's kindergarten started a new tradition this year...the kindy 500 . Each kindergartener had to build an applebox car and bring it to school for a parade and program. There were some amazing, amazing cars!!!! I can't believe how hard these kindergarteners (aka. parents) worked! The kids had a blast and after the parade they went to 8 different patriotic stations where they learned about the statue of liberty, mount rushmore, liberty bell, the flag, etc.

Here is a short video of a few of the cars. Andrea is 3rd from front. One of my favorites was the flinstones car!
Also notice the real headlights reflecting off the back of Andrea's car.

Welcome Elisa Ann!

Elisa Ann was born April 16, 2010 at 39 weeks. She was 7 lbs 1 oz and 18 1/2 inches long. That's the same length as Andrea at 35 weeks and the same weight as Michaela at 38 weeks.

The kids were so excited to meet their new sister. Even Steen didn't seem to notice that she was a girl!

Who does she resemble the most?

Michaela

Waiting...

Waiting to see what the picture in the empty frame is going to look like!
I bought two new frames and updated my family wall this last week. Thanks Rachel for taking the cute pics of the kids...can't wait until our baby girl "joins the picture!"
Count down: I'm 38 1/2 weeks and will be induced on the 20th if I don't have the baby sooner.

Happy Easter

Grandma came over Saturday morning for our Easter egg hunt. The easter bunny brought plenty of candy hidden in plastic easter eggs for the kids to find.

I bought some really cute material that Grandma sewed into matching aprons for the girls. Thank you soooo much for the aprons, Grandma!...the girls LOVE them!

Steen got a store bought Diego apron that he loves as well. Stay tuned for our next post of a cooking party since our kids LOVE to help in the kitchen so much!

Fun Run

The girls both participated in a fun run for their school to raise money. Andrea ran a mile and had fun posing with Rocky the Racoon.
Michaela's personality was evident in her skipping along from the start. She is never in a hurry and loves to just enjoy life! She skipped and jogged 3 laps which was equivalent to a mile. Go girls!
They also had a raffle for those who participated and Michaela won a pogo stick!
