Hooray for families...ten loads of laundry and all!

I love being a mom...because of these four kids! And yet, we know that anything truly satisfying in the long term comes with a LOT of work! My grandma gave me a compliment the other day...something to the effect that I am raising a wonderful family and in this day and age...that is quite an accomplishment. The words of Sister Julie Beck from a recent LDS regional conference have been resonating in my mind, "You are doing better than you think!" To all those who are striving to or desire to raise children in this day and age...and sometimes feel overwhelmed that it is not quite the fairytale you always dreamed of...I echo Sister Beck's words. "You are doing better than you think!" I think those who choose family in this day and age, whether they actually realize that blessing to the degree they want or not...are doing better than they think. Seeing my cute kids in this picture reminds me of that too..."I AM doing better than I think!" Hooray for families...ten loads of laundry and all!

Sweet Elisa at 5 months!
